Town Hall Level 12 - Week 12
Trophies : 2,956 (+175) (Master League II)
Here's the latest update after the twelfth week following the TH12 upgrade. All the Elixir based building upgrades are now complete so "just" the walls and the Grand Warden to go on that side of things. I think I've turned a corner, with my defense now looking quite strong and my troops also looking pretty good. I've started to move up the trophy league again and I'm very close to Master League I at this point.
Here's what the base looks like right now.
Current Upgrades in Progress
Elixir Storage - Level 13
Gold Storage (x2) - Level 13
Wizard Tower - Level 11
Hidden Tesla - Level 10
Bomb Tower - Level 7
Hero Levels
Archer Queen - Level 52
Grand Warden - Level 22 (+1)
Barbarian King - Level 50
The Grand Warden was upgraded to level 22 this week. I've made a good start to the Clan War Leagues with 9*s from the first 3 matches. I need at least 165 medals for a Hammer of Heroes so I'm hoping for similar results moving forward.
There were no 3* attacks on the base this week! The best was a 75% 2* attack but most have been in the mid 60s. This, combined with new level 3 e-drags in my attack has resulted in the extra 175 trophies this week. I've also changed my siege machine attack to a battle blimp with 2 yetis and a rage spell. This seems to work really well.
Now that the e-drags are completed, I'm upgrading the Head Hunter to Level 2.
Builder Base
Trophies : 3281 (+207)
The Roaster upgrade is complete and the Baby Dragons are now Level 18. This has meant a good uptick in the trophies this week. I've been keeping the upgrades to those that will complete in 8 hours or less (mostly traps and bombs). This way I can complete them over night and I've ignored these defenses for a while so they need some catch up.
On the troop side, I'm now focused on the hog gliders that I unlocked recently. They are heading for Level 3.
Builder Base News
There was more details released this week about how the attacks will work in the new Builder Base 2.0 Release. Builder Base will now work like a mini Clan Capital with two stages to each builder base. The second stage will come once you upgrade beyond Builder base 5.
You will need to 3* the first stage of the base to attack the second stage where another 3*s will be on offer. It also look likes the troops can be upgraded to level 20 and the Battle Machine can now go to Level 35.
Dark Ages Warden Challenge.
There are a couple of days left on this challenge so if you want to try it over the weekend, here are the step by step instructions you need.
1.) Deploy 2 Valkyries to the bottom left corner. One to take the builder huts along the bottom and one to take the huts up the left side.
2.) Deploy another Valkyrie outside the wall by the Clan Castle.
3.) Deploy the Grand Warden on the statue in the top left corner with one healer for support.
4.) Once the inferno tower goes down, use the retrieve spell on the Warden.
5.) Deploy an Ice Golem in the bottom right corner by the statue. Deploy the Warden behind the golem and use a clone spell on the healer.
6.) Once the Scattershot is down, retrieve the Warden again.
7.) Deploy the remaining troops in the bottom right corner with the Warden at the back.
8.) Use the remaining clone spells on the witches, valkyries etc.
Tip of the Week
Let's continue our look at troop upgrades for TH12. We now have six troops prioritized for upgrade at TH12 based on the value that each upgrade represents. Let's add a seventh to the mix and review the PEKKA.
At TH12, the PEKKA can be upgraded from Level 7 to 8. The improvement in stats is shown below:
Damage Per Second (DPS) : 540 + 70 = 610
Hit points (HP) : 972 + 126 = 1,098
The total upgrade value points or UVP (increase in DPS + increase HP) = (70 + 126) = 196
This upgrade costs 7,700,000 Elixir or 39,285 per upgrade value point
So where do PEKKAs fit into the upgrade list?
1.) Dragon 13K / UVP
2.) Giant 24K / UVP
3.) PEKKA 39K / UVP
4.) Loons. 41K / UVP
5.) Wizard 185K / UVP
6.) Barb 193K / UVP
7.) Archer 900K / UVP
So not bad value but schedule them after the Dragon and the Giants at TH12.
Next week we'll do a review of the Baby Dragon and see if he can knock the Dragon off the number 1 spot.
Until then
