Town Hall Level 12 - Week 14
Trophies : 3,246 (+210) (Champions League III)
Here's the latest update after the fourteenth week following the TH12 upgrade. With the defense continuing to look strong, I have started a bit of a trophy push and am now attacking four times a day. This has lead to a move into the Champions League. As a result, I earned 2,000 gems! This is really going to help the hero upgrades that need to take place over the coming weeks.
The end is in sight for maxing TH12. There's still a bit of work to do with the archer towers and cannons but then it's just the traps and the walls. That might require a bit of farming to limit the time spend at this level.
Here's what the base looks like right now.
Current Upgrades in Progress
Hidden Tesla - Level 10
Mortar - Level 11
Archer Tower - Level 16
Cannon - Level 16
Grand Warden - Level 25
Town Hall Giga Tesla - Level 5
Hero Levels
Archer Queen - Level 53
Grand Warden - Level 24 (+1)
Barbarian King - Level 50
Wall Upgrades Remaining - 227 (-8)
The Grand Warden was upgraded again this week and is on the way to Level 25.
There were no 3* attacks on the base this week which has helped the trophy position. I'm trying to balance the upgrades so that I don't have two of the same type taking place at once.
The Lava Hound upgrade is almost complete and I have maxed the Dark Elixir storages so a Golem upgrade might be on the cards next.
Builder Base
Trophies : 3,180 (-56)
Upgrades continue on the traps and mines so it's slow progress at the moment. The hog gliders are on the way to level 9 so we'll see if they can help in the attacks at that level. I expect that they will need to be at least level 12 before they improve the attack.

Tip of the Week
Let's continue our look at troop upgrades for TH12. We now have eight troops prioritized for upgrade at TH12 based on the value that each upgrade represents. Let's add an ninth to the mix and review the Miners
At TH12, the Miners can be upgraded from Level 5 to 6. The improvement in stats is shown below:
Damage Per Second (DPS) : 112 + 8 = 120
Hit points (HP) 800 + 100 = 900
The total upgrade value points or UVP (increase in DPS + increase HP) = (8 + 100) = 108
This upgrade costs 6,500,000 Elixir or 60,185 per upgrade value point
So where do Miners fit into the upgrade list?
1.) Dragon 13K / UVP
2.) Giant 24K / UVP
3.) PEKKA 39K / UVP
4.) Loons. 41K / UVP
5.) Baby Dragon 57K / UVP
6.) Miners 62K / UVP
7.) Wizard 185K / UVP
8.) Barb 193K / UVP
9.) Archer 900K / UVP
So another average return for your Elixir here. Remember that miners only take damage when they are above ground and they are not restricted by walls so they do have their uses. However, in terms of upgrade priority, I'd do the others on the list first.
Next week we'll take a look at the classic TH12 attack standard - the E-Dragon.
Until then
